Bieth cross
The longer route starts from West Kilbride toward Dlry
on the B781 leaving it just beyond the Munnoch Resrv
across to Muirlaught Farm (MR 260462) and left toward
Dalry right at Tower farm (MR277477) to Dalgarven
Mill (MR297458) and minor roads to Barmill then
following the short route description from Barmill.

The short route starts from Dalry railway station this
route uses the network of quiet lanes to approach
Lochwinnoch RSPB where there is a view point and
coffee stop.
From Dalry station go right uphill past the entrance to
Blair, right, left, left to the crossroads at MR 331494
straight on to Barrmill. From Barrmill go left off the
B706 to joining the B777 at Low Bogside.
Turn east and leave the B777 in 0.6km cycling NE to
join the B776 south of Barcraigs Resrv.
Leave the B776 west to Newton of Belltrees descending
Auchengrange hill to the roundabout at MR366577 and
down to the bird sactuary between Castle Semple and
Barr Loch.
The sanctuary is a pleasant stop for a coffee, bird
viewing and even purchasing a little gift.
After the refreshments are done return toward the
roundabout but turn off to the right and cycle up to
Bieth. At the cross in Beith go left steeply uphill on the
B706, cross the A737 and then right in 1km past the
munitions depot. Join the B707 for 200m then go left
back toward Blair (right turn) and the railway station.

On the long route follow signs for the B780 out of Dalry toward West Kilbride but as you climb
the hill past the cemetery turn right and follow the minor road over Fairlie moor down and across
the A78 onto the cycleway through Hunterston and back up to West Kilbride on the B782.
