Neilston Pad
Short walks 3 to 7km with a good view point over the Clyde valley.
Two kilometres south of Neilston is a very
pleasant little area with a circuit on firm tracks
and several loops on other tracks, muddy after.
The walks can be extended out and back to a
partly wooded area just west of Neilston
giving and extra 4km but is part on a quiet
tarmac road.
Parking is at the southern edge and approach
is nicest from Dunlop, saving navigation
through Neilston.
Taking the track up to the top of the hill, is
worthwhile for the view which, although
limited by trees, has a good outlook over the
Clyde valley. Visiting the top is out and back.
There is a link route through to Gleniffer  braes via Killoch glen, Harelaw dam and Brownside
Braes, waymarked from the top of Killoch Glen.
It's anice walk provided good weather but needs a pick up at the Johnston end.
