I was surprised to discover that Costa
Blanca is a very nice walking area and
since it has package holidays in villas
with car hire my wife and I arranged a
break the week before easter 2004.
The centre was Denia, I was not
impressed, but it was reasonably placed
for our intended walking. I would have
preferred a more rural setting.

The Mozarabic trail was impressive,
zig zagging down and up each side of
The hill behind Denia is called Montgo
and proved a very pleasant walk of
almost 6 hours with great views over
the town and coast.
A walk 'Barranco de la Encantada',
about 4 hours through a gorge, forest
track, some very quiet road and
stations of the cross at Santo Christo,
was very enjoyable.
