Route in brief
22km, 400m climb, 2km uphill push carry, 3km rough descent.
Park at Kaims south of Muirkirk go south up the valley track beside Capel Water
4km. Contour 3 km round Stony Hill through lots of mud and continue into the forest. The first
300m of track in the forest is extremely muddy.
Go right at the junction 1km into the forest. 1km go left another
kilometer go left, 1 1/2 km right (straight), 1 1/2 km left. After another
2 km go left to the end of the track (MR737241). Push/carry/ride the next 2km up Cairn Table and
cycle down to the start at Kaims
