Law Castle in West Kilbride, the castle and view are to the east of the railway station on the side of the prominent hill behind the village.

View south from Douglas park hill view point behind Largs. Probably best accessed from the sea front where there is plenty of parking space.
Largs viewed from above Biglees quarry. The top of the quarry can be reached from parking at North Kilruskin farm on a rough stone track.
View North West from Overton cut above Greenock. The walk across from Cornalees then anticlockwise round the cut gives access to this view.

Culzean country park has great views along the clifftop walk. Park at Maidens and walk in through the caravan park or along the beach.
Irvine harbour area has nice views and interesting architecture, also the beachpark area. Park beyond the Magnum centre.
Bute has great views cycling and walking. Ferry from Wemyss Bay
Portencross is lovely with its castle, and shore walks. Plenty of parking near at the village.
South of straiton is the Stincher bridge with plenty of walking and cycling to check out.
Old mining area with views across the Doon valley just above Patna to the east of the A713
Plenty of walking and cycling is to be had in the Loch Doon area just south of Dalmellington also Loch Doon Castle.
Muirkirk area is a great remote off road cycling and walking area. Cairn table can be cycled and walked.
Muirshiel has a great off road cycle across to Kilmacolm, a shorter one to the mine and some nice walking to windy hill.
There are some challanging mountain bike routes from Corsencon and limestone caves to view. Corsencon is 3 km east of New Cumnock
Forest roads lead round to Lethanhill and a circular 4 hour walk from Sinclairston.
Kirkmichael is a very scenic cycling area and nice walking round Straiton
